Striving for Excellence: What does that mean?
Perfection is to worship Allah SWT as though you see him. Worship Allah as though you see him. Even though we don’t see him directly.
So how do we begin our pursuit of excellence? We begin with asking Allah SWT to be merciful upon us and seek forgiveness through him.
People are making dua for things in their life to not realizing Allah SWT is either giving you or protecting you from something that you should or shouldn’t have. Whatever comes from Allah is the greatest.
And this is where I like to encourage us to strive for excellence even in the bad things that happen to us.
Allah is testing me only to build me into a stronger person —- Allah is testing me as we recite in surah Mulk – Liyablowakum Ayukum Ahsano Amala.
He is testing me to see, “am I going to live my day?”, “am I going to spend my night” in the best most possible ways of according to the deen? According to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)? Helping society yet still having a personal lifestyle that is going to give me the best in the hereafter?
And the answer to that is “yes,” because once we understand this life is nothing but a temporary short span that we live in transition and we move on to another part of our lives, we realize that there is so much we can do and achieve. So it doesn’t matter if you are a janitor. It doesn’t matter if you are a stay home mother, or it doesn’t matter if you’re a labor worker.
It doesn’t matter if your someone who is a doctor, a lawyer or engineer. Or you are a salesman at a used car dealership. It doesn’t matter if you’re a volunteer. It doesn’t matter if you’re a student. You do what you are doing as best as you possibly can. Pleasing Allah SWT and following the Sunnah. You are on the path of excellence. You are building your paradise.
You are getting a higher and bigger status with Allah SWT and by getting that status with Allah SWT, you will get status in this world, because when Allah SWT loves you, he tells the angels, so the angels make the people around you love you as well.
And so in pursuit of excellence, we surround ourselves with people we like because the angels encourage us to do that. Because Allah SWT is happy with us and all we did was do the simple little acts in life.
Never belittle yourself.
Never belittle the actions you do in life. Never think that you are not capable of being excellent in what you do. Strive for excellence in what you do even if it’s just taking a sip of water. https://peacequest.net
